My name is Dylan Powell, I am qualified in Hypnotherapy along with other therapies. Over the past decade I have studied a broad range of Emotional Issues and the most effective therapies to treat those issues. My belief is that the best solution is holistic, taking into account the person, their experiences, history and goals. Lasting benefit for a client isn’t always found via a single therapy, but by a combination tailored to their unique situation. This can include Listening, Hypnotherapy and elements of proven therapies such as NLP and EMDR.
Confidentiality is of paramount importance and my clients can rest assured that discussions in the course of therapy remain private. Furthermore, as a member of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, I am regularly monitored and engage with my mentor to encourage best practise.
Usually you may be emotionally resilient, but if things happen when you are physically or emotionally tired, when two or three important things go wrong, you can feel overwhelmed, anxious, sad or depressed. If you’re lucky, all you need is a friend, someone that’s a good listener. Maybe joining the gym, going for a run or your favourite hobby will be enough to help you through, until you gradually feel your old self again.
However, some of us that don’t have someone to confide in, sometimes we try, but get tongue tied and embarrassed or feel that that person can’t relate to you. At this point you may consider support in order to alleviate some of the worries which you have been experiencing, therapy is the answer.

BENEFITS OF THERAPY
All of my clients are different and come to me for different reasons, as a result I don’t apply a one size fits all approach to our sessions. My therapy sessions are as individual as you, as I believe that is the most effective way for you to get the most out of your time with me. Along with Hypnotherapy I use a range of therapies which suit different clients, and I always ensure that I am fully aware of each client’s needs before I decide which therapy suits them best.

An initial consultation of up to one hour is completely free of charge and confidential. During this meeting, we will establish what you want to achieve and which issues you would like to address. I will assess whether I am the best solution for you personally, if I believe another approach or practitioner would be better for you, I’ll be honest. Any therapy is a partnership, the client needs to believe in the practitioner to engage fully. The practitioner needs to believe they can help, knowing the client is fully on board.
I don’t always use hypnotherapy, I also use elements of NLP, Visualisation, Relaxation, EMDR and Life Coaching. When I do however, you will be completely aware of what is happening and able to open your eyes and stop the process at any time. You will remember everything that is said and everything that happens. The hypnotic state is very much like daydreaming, you are aware but very relaxed, a bit like when you’re engrossed in a good book. This state of relaxation merely allows us to engage with the unconscious mind.
I operate my therapy sessions from a wellness centre based in Lymm near Altrincham, where I can also help clients in or near to Warrington.
To help clients during these pandemic resrtrictions, I provide consultations and sessions via Zoom, Skype, Facetime and WhatsApp video calls.
